THIS IS A DEMO VERSION OF A VERY EARLY BUILD.

SUMMARY

Exleon is a cinematic 2d-sidescroller that tries to relive the feeling of playing the first Prince of Persia and AnotherWorld, but with a more dynamic gameplay.

Born from the ashes of the good old era of cinematic platformers, Exleon is here to rescue the classic action and thrilling moments of games like Prince of Persia and Out of this World.

PLOT

A mysterious sickness has turned the king powerless and unable to rise against the terrible darkness that lurks his kingdom.
An epic evil scheme is in motion. Will it succed?

CONTROLS

JOYSTICK

  • D-PAD for movement and ducking.
  • X - Sprint.
  • Square - Jump.

KEYBOARD

  • A, D, S or Directional Keys for movement and ducking
  • Space to Jump.
  • Left Shift to sprint.

THE TEAM

ExLeon was developed by a team of 3:
Cassio Kenji ( cassio-kenji.itch.io) worked as gamedesigner and pixel artist. Giuseppe Gentile (pepegentile.itch.io) as gamedesigner and developer and Danilo Barbosa (inc4nus.itch.io) as a developer, as well.

We developed Exleon in 3 months, using the tools: Unity, C#, Aseprite, Git, and Trello.



O jogo encontra-se em sua versão alpha. Isso significa que alguns glitches visuais, animações com menos frames e sprites de protótipo ainda estão em uso.

RESUMO

Um cinematic platformer 2D, resgatando a ação clássica e momentos de tensão de grandes títulos da era 16-bit.

Revisitamos o genêro, carente hoje em dia, e adicionamos à ele nossas melhores lembranças, exagerando em tudo que era possível.
Enfrente um gigante calabouço guiado pela mais maligna magia negra até a pouco provável liberdade e entenda como agilidade, destreza e pensamento rápido eram essenciais na era 16-bit.

Uma misteriosa doença torna um destemido rei impossibilitado de governar e também de lutar contra uma terrível maldição que começa a assolar seu povo. Um épico plano maligno está em andamento. Há esperança?

This is no cinematic platformer. In cinematic platformer there is no air control, and no microjumps. If you jump in the right direction in right place in cinematic platformer you absolutely 100% reach the goal. Every step is hadrcoded. But not here. So this is no cinematic platformer. Too bad. But graphic is nice.

there is a proble you can't hold onto ledges I can't get past a room it wont let me jump on wall

Hello! Will your game require music? I love conceiving musical arrangements that embody artwork and gameplay, and this game is byoo-tee-ful. I'm curious as to how upcoming levels/areas are going to look. Would you consider letting me score for you? 

I didn't read the description before playing and indeed it did remind me of the first Prince of Persia! Very fun and challenging to play, you get more challenge on each new screen. I especially like that you can use the wall jump feature to escape from some of the spike pits. I'd like to invite your game to take part in our Game Development World Championship!

Hi! Fun but no way to stop sliding on walls. Also, Impossible to beat part of mysterious dungeon part 2 where it requires you to wall jump but there is no platform to stand on after jumping, just spikes. The level is where the arrows are perpendicular to each other and there is also a neon-pink fencing at the end of the level.

That is the final room and it is almost impossible, just to retain the player a little more to develop its skills.

But, if it is so hard that is frustating, and we know it is, then there is a problem. So it is why we are uploading a new version now.
